While raised in Foreman, Arkansas, Tracy began performing just at the age of 15 and subsequently moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1990 to start with his career in country music.
The year 1991 turned out to be an important one for him since marked with his signing to a major record label- Atlantic Records Nashville, and later on that year, he made his debut with the album Sticks and Stones. His incredible career ornamented with five more studio albums, a compilation album, and a live album as well, which went on throughout the ‘90s till 2001, when unfortunately the country division of the record label was closed.
Maybe you know about Tracy Lawrence very well, but do you know how old and tall is he and what is his net worth in 2020? If you do not know, we have prepared this article about details of Tracy Lawrence’s short biography-wiki, career, professional life, personal life, today’s net worth, age, height, weight, and more facts. Well, if you’re ready, let’s start.
In Atlanta, Texas, back on January 27, 1968, the high country music star Tracy Lee Lawrence stepped into this world. His mother JoAnn Dickens, who was a housewife and his step-dad Duane Dickens raised him, along with his two brothers and three sisters.
Tracy’s family moved to Foreman, Arkansas, when he was just four years old, where he grew up singing in the Methodist Church choir and learned to play the guitar as well. Though his mother always wanted him to grow up to be a minister, he had already smelt what his destined to be, and was quite determined with that.
Speaking of his upbringing, in 1996, Tracy said the ‘Country Weekly’ magazine- “I was hell-bent on doing things my way. I bucked my step-father. He thought I was risking too much chasing this crazy music dream.” Just from the age of 15, he started performing publicly in various local clubs and even joined a local honky-tonky band by the age of 17.
Back in April of 1994, Tracy confronted and followed two teenagers to their home on a highway in Wilson County, Tennessee, for which he was charged with reckless endangerment and possession of an unlicensed firearm. However, all those charges were cleared later on though we were put on probation for a year.
His married life, however, didn’t go as smoothly and much as his career and was quite complicated. The first of his three marriages was with the former rodeo star- Frances Weatherford, back in 1993. After the two divorced in 1996, a lot of unfortunate events happened with his ex-wife, as she suffered injuries from broken glass and a miscarriage after a gas fireplace explosion.
Later on in March of 1997, he got married for the 2nd time with Stephenie “Stacie” Drew, who was a former member of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Their wedding was held in a simple grand manner, with over 500 guests, and there were even arrangements for performances by stars like Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, and Tracy Byrd.
However noble the wedding was, it didn’t go on so well since just after a few months in October of the same year, Tracy had to undergo investigations since he was accused with allegations that after a concert at Buffalo Bill’s hotel and casino in Primm, Nevada, he had abused his wife. That too occurred just after one month they filed for a divorce, and subsequently, he was ordered to donate $ 500 to a Nevada-based women’s shelter by the Las Vegas courts.
Finally, in a secret wedding ceremony just after Christmas of 2000, he married for the 3rd time to Becca Lawrence, which eventually brought sweetness in his life, and they are happily married to this date. The had their 1st baby girl- Skylar on the next June following their marriage, and their 2nd daughter- Mary, two years after that.
Being born on January 27, 1968, Tracy Lawrence is 52 years old as of today’s date 18th December 2020. His height is 1.82 m tall, and his weight is 69 kg.
Back in the year 2001, Tracy came out with his debut album ‘Sticks and Stones’, which was seen to be at the very top of all the various country music charts, which was certainly a result of the massive promotions done for it. Some other hits, namely “Runnin’ Behind,” “Today’s Lonely Fool,” and “Somebody Paints the Wall,” also made their ways to the Top-10s in various charts and showed Tracy his way to fame and popularity.
In 1993, Tracy released his 2nd album ‘Alibis,’ which won a Double-Platinum RIAA certification for selling over 2 million copies! The collection also gifted us with four beautiful singles, namely- “Can’t Break It To My Heart,” “My Second Home,” “If The Good Die Young,” and the title track, which not only won the fans’ hearts but topped the charts as well.
Tracy Lawrence has 2 Grammy nominations: in the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards(2009) and the 39th Annual Grammy Awards(1996).
He also has won the Primetime Emmy Awards six times and has been nominated for 14 times.
We all know how precious a country music artist, as famous as Tracy Lawrence, can be, but still, let’s have a look at the enormous figures. Though his salary is not entirely known, it’s known that he has a net worth of around $10 million as of December 2020. Apart from the monetary figures, how many hearts he has won with his magical voice, or how much happiness his songs have brought to the music lovers, unfortunately, can’t be measured, or he would have been one of the wealthiest persons in the world.
Music artists have been leading fantastic, extravagant, and lavish lives always studded with extreme stardom. Thus often, they tend to get attached to controversies and legal issues, and Tracy Lawrence hasn’t been an exception. Though now that he’s approached the end of his music career and is leading a quite happy married life being a daddy of 2 girls, we can just let go all the bad stuff he had been accused of and remembered all those great songs he has gifted us with, and pass on to the next generation to cherish.
